I had my first deep tissue massage today and it was perfection. Typically I want a Swedish massage since it’s relaxing (compared to deep tissue) but I needed some knots and kinks worked out. Clarence somehow gave a 90-minute deep tissue that was soothing. His technique was exceptional too, he had varied movements so it wasn’t the same motions for 10 minutes on my limbs. I highly recommend Clarence and Aquarius Wellness. As for logistics, my GPS told me to turn when I was in front of the spa but the parking lot’s entrance is before you reach that spot. I had to loop around because where the GPS told me to turn is a retaining wall and the next opening in the retaining wall is “exit only,” so keep an eye out. I was worried parking would be limited but it is plentiful.

It wasn't until we started telling our friends and family about our incredible couples' massage experience at Aquarius Wellness did we realize that it has already been a beloved treasure for self care in our St. Louis community. Carmen and Clarence, our massage therapists, offered us fantastic, personalized service and carefully took the time to understand us and set expectations for what would be a new experience for us both. Their customer service was matched by their impressive abilities to listen and respond to our bodies, offering us a level of care that was new to both of us. They even treated us to champagne and chocolate at the end to help us celebrate our anniversary! Beyond the clearly great experience that we had during our first visit, we were also charmed by so many details and considerations of the business. The design of the space, the photographs and language used in advertisements/literature, and the philanthropic component of sales all left us feeling charmed by a small business that is clearly putting wellness and care before profits. This approach speaks for itself in their reviews and success and I wish more businesses would take note.
