And I sincerely believe that day is rapidly arriving, hopefully within the next couple of months, but we are not out of the woods yet, the situation is fluid, and the behavior of countless individuals and businesses will determine how soon that day in fact arrives. It is the decisions we are all making, moment by moment, which will either deny this wily virus the opportunities it requires to persist through transmission and replication, and shut it down to manageable levels, or conversely, by not taking it seriously enough before we’ve reached herd immunity, give it fertile ground for unchecked transmission, and thereby pose the very real risk of further mutations and continued spikes in infection rates, and regrettably deaths!
I have tried my best at Aquarius, and in life, to subscribe to the Hippocratic Oath, the 1st principle of medicine, to “Do No Harm”, and my decision to keep Aquarius closed during these most difficult of times, as hard as it has been, I feel was the correct decision, just as the decisions of certain countries to take a more aggressive approach to lock downs has resulted in far lower death rates than ours in the US. When dealing with a silent, invisible killer like Covid-19, which is most infectious before the infected even show symptoms, the evidence has proven that the most aggressive approaches are the ones that yield the lowest death rates, and I am proud to be able to claim that we have had no cases, or deaths thank God, associated with Aquarius, and it is my intention to keep it that way!
It’s not like we have been sitting around on our hands this past year however, for we have been diligently working on a completely new website, the site I have been imagining and wanting for years, and which I am very excited to share with the world very soon! Additionally, we have been making plans all along for how we will reopen, safely, once the time is right, such as purchasing state-of-the-art air purifiers for each room at Aquarius, having custom vinyl covers made for each treatment table that can easily be sanitized between clients, and sourcing and purchasing, from the universe of options, the optimal disinfecting spray cleaner and wipes that are specifically designed for spas and clinics to safely kill anything one might encounter there, including Covid-19!
So, rest assured, once we are ready to welcome you all back into Aquarius for your much needed, and well-deserved, R&R, we will be more than ready for you, and looking forward to that day as much as you all are! Until then, please stay tuned for further updates as we are monitoring the situation daily, and thank you once again for all your support! It has meant the world to us, truly. And finally, don’t let your guard down, get vaccinated, and keep the faith that, This Too Shall Pass!
